Before I created Uhu Studio, I always enjoyed art. I loved to draw and craft, and create.
Then one day an interesting idea came to me. What if I put my art onto a simple blank notebook and make it fantastic! Boring notebooks would be a thing of the past.
However, I was concerned that I could not get my products out there to be seen, let alone, loved.
But then…
I decided, what the heck. People build websites around their talents all the time and so can I.
I resolved to create the most unique journals and artwork for people who want to make a statement and have a passion for all things handmade.
It turns out…
The road was more difficult than I imagined.
How would I figure out how to build my own website from scratch? What would I name my store anyway? Realistically, did anyone really care about my art?
I sought help…
from a great website designing guru and decided that my store would be named after the owls that live near my home here in Arizona. Uhu is a cute German word for owl. What a hoot!
In the back of my mind…
the “mental heckler” said I couldn’t open a store online and I still wondered if anyone would like what I created.
The best part…
In the end, I continued with the release of my first products and the response has been, epic!
